More disruption to mail as bad weather continues

The latest bulletin from Royal Mail suggests an improving situation but one where problems persist in some areas.

Midlands Situation improving, although there is still some disruption in the HR and WR postcode areas. 

Northern England In the North West and parts of the North East of England, the situation has improved with more deliveries and collections being completed. There is still some disruption to deliveries in some parts of the OL and SK postcode areas. 

Southern England Mail services remain disrupted in a number of parts of the South West of England; Bristol, Portsmouth, Southampton, as well as across the GU and BN postcode areas. Particularly affected are Canterbury, Tonbridge, and Maidstone. Some disruption continues to affect some addresses in the SN and the OX postcode areas due to untreated roads in the region. 

Scotland Situation is easing in some parts and more deliveries and collections being attempted in Scotland where safe. Managerial resource is helping to deliver as much mail as possible to addresses throughout Scotland. 

Wales Improving conditions in many areas, although fresh snow falls are expected later today that may affect our ability to complete some business collections.  

Northern Ireland In Northern Ireland, despite temperatures remaining very cold mail services are returning in areas previously affected.
